Presentation of a $25,000 check to Dr Bill Davis on behalf of the Northstar Foundation that trains dogs to help children with Autism. This amount is part of the funds raised from the 2007 inaugural Sara's Beach Walk event and we're looking forward to getting out again this year on November 13 thru 15. Maybe the Bear Metal Family will Walk This Way?

WANT A SNEAK PEEK?

If you just can't wait to see how Hard Rock Park is going to look and feel, you're in luck. Starting March 14th and running until the park's soft opening begins in April, the Backstage Tour is moving into the All Access Entry Plaza and the public will be able to get a "Sneak Peek". The All Access Entry Plaza will be open from 11am-5pm daily with shopping, sweets, and coffee treats available. There will also be "VIP Hard Hat Tours" offered for those who want to see more. These tours last about 45 minutes, and will take guests through two of the "rock environs" Rock & Roll Heaven and Cool Country, as they're getting their finishing touches. Tours cost $20, $15 of which can be applied towards an annual or day pass and current annual pass holders can just pay $5 for a tour. The "hard hat" will be a unique souvenir for those that take the tour!
SNEAK PEEK SWAG


"Sneak Peek" guests should also be aware that two of the park's retail stores are open for business and selling exclusive Hard Rock Park swag, including 15 brand new collector's pins. In Through the Out Store located in The All-Access Entry Plaza and Cloud 9 Provisions in Rock & Roll Heaven have opened their doors, providing guests with over 2,800 combined square feet of merchandise madness. The pins, which are collected worldwide, include four limited edition Grand Opening pieces. There's also an oasis of new exclusive Hard Rock Park t-shirts and other elite collectibles.
TESTING, TESTING- 1-2-3

On March 20th Hard Rock Park announced that it will go into "Sound Check" on April 15 when the public will be allowed in to sample the Park's rides, shows and attractions in full force for the first time. During this three-week "rehearsal," park guests will become a part of rock history as they get to check out the world's first rock ‘n' roll theme park has it springs into life.
Admission for "Sound Check" will be $40 for rockers of all ages and will include a $10 meal voucher that can be used at any of the restaurant locations in the Park**. "Our restaurants are all unique and are a part of the whole entertainment experience, said Dale Kaetzel, general manager. "We're encouraging everyone to get a taste of the Park during Sound Check." Additionally, the Park will expand its normal opening hours of 4 p.m.- 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. -10 p.m. for the weekends of April 26-27 and May 3-4. Park admission for these weekends will be at the general admission price of $50 for rockers of all ages, and no meal vouchers will be included on these weekends. Guests who come for the sound check will be able to apply $30 of the $40 admission or the full $50 of the general admission price towards an annual pass purchase.
GRAND OPENING EVENT

It's almost time to kick open the doors of Hard Rock Park of let the public in to play. To celebrate the Grand Opening of the world's first rock ‘n' roll theme park, we have planned a two-day Grand Opening Event including two exclusive concert events, The Eagles performing June 2nd and The Moody Blues performing June 3rd.
"This celebration will be one for the record books," said Steven Goodwin, CEO of Hard Rock Park. "Our opening lineup screams that the world's first rock ‘n' roll theme park has arrived." The event is designed to give guests celebrity treatment, complete with a red carpet photo opportunity, a food and beverage package and a Hard Rock Park souvenir package.
Ticket packages for the Grand Opening Event will go on sale March 17th online at www.hardrockpark.com and at 11 a.m. at Hard Rock Park's All Access Entry Plaza.
PARK GUESTS WILL NOW BE LIVING LIFE IN THE FAST LANE

On Monday, March 16th, Hard Rock Park announced another partnership that will help them rock the Grand Strand. Not only are the Eagles partaking in Hard Rock's Grand Opening Extravaganza in June, but they are also lending their name to the dual lift roller coaster, formally known as Midnight Rider. Now titled Eagles Life in the Fast Lane, the 2,234 foot coaster takes guests on a two minute mind-bending journey, featuring on-board audio, while going 50 mph. The Eagles band members have even gone back into the studio to re-record their famed smash hit, turning it into a one-of-a-kind version exclusive for the new ride!
